TWS settings and performance

TWS Messages settings and order warnings

Quick answer

TWS Messages controls which notices appear. Read each message before changing it. A warning can explain why an order needs attention, so start with the exact notice rather than disabling every prompt.

Educational software guidance. Trading involves risk. Read the financial and information disclaimers.

Step by step

  1. 1 Copy the warning text from the stopped workflow.
  2. 2 Open Global Configuration → Messages and locate the matching item.
  3. 3 Read what the message protects or asks you to confirm.
  4. 4 Change only the needed display choice if you understand and intend its effect.
  5. 5 Check the next paper workflow to confirm the message behavior without changing other order rules.

A practical example

A popup appears before a trade, so you want it gone. First read what it says. It may be asking you to check size, price, or another important field. Find that same notice in Messages. Do not turn off every message to hide one prompt. After a planned change, test the exact paper workflow that showed it. If the order still fails, read the new result instead of assuming that the prompt was the only cause.

Mistake to avoid

Hiding a warning is not the same as resolving an order rejection or gaining trading permission.
