Find the first missing stage. An alert firing, a webhook arriving, an app accepting it, and IBKR accepting an order are separate events. Start with logs before changing TWS settings.
Educational software guidance. Trading involves risk. Read the financial and information disclaimers.
Step by step
- 1 In TradingView, open the Alerts sidebar and select Log. Find the exact event time and read its available webhook status. A chart mark alone is not an alert record. See screenshot.
- 2 In PickMyTrade, select IB and open Alerts. Set the date range and use Filter if needed. Find the same time and product; an empty list is not a receipt. See screenshot.
- 3 If a receipt exists, read its processing result. In Orders → Columns, locate Status, Reject Reason and Order Id to trace any resulting order. See screenshot.
- 4 Open IB Connections. No Connections Found is not a ready desktop link, even if the Alerts view says Account Running. Check TWS Activity for the matching order or rejection. See screenshot.
- 5 Fix the first failed stage, then check existing broker orders before any retry.
A practical example
Suppose TradingView shows an alert but PickMyTrade has no record of it. Start with the web address and delivery result. Now suppose PickMyTrade received it and TWS shows a rejection. That is a different case: read the broker reason. A stage-by-stage trace avoids changing a good TWS setup to fix a webhook that never reached its receiver.
