Live option Greeks need both option and underlying data. Also check that you selected a valid option with usable prices. A blank value is not the same as a zero delta or zero volatility.

Step by step
- 1 If the Greek column is absent, open the chain gear → Settings → Layout. Expand Greeks under Available Columns. Select the needed field and use Add, then Apply. A blank cell in a shown column needs the data checks below.
- 2 Confirm the option’s expiry, strike, call or put, and trading class.
- 3 Check whether both the option and its underlying have current quotes in TWS.
- 4 Verify subscriptions for both products under the active username.
- 5 Compare bid, ask, last, and model calculation fields; they need not all be populated identically.
- 6 If values remain missing, give support the contract and which calculation field is absent.
A practical example
A chain shows strikes and dates but the delta column is blank. First check the option’s price and then its underlying price. The model needs the relevant inputs. Do not fill the blank with zero in a spreadsheet or an app rule. Zero would be a real value with a very different meaning. Keep the missing field visible until you know why it has no result.

Common questions
Is an option feed alone enough?
IBKR states that live Greeks require subscriptions for the option and underlying.
Why do model and last-price Greeks differ?
They are different calculation fields and can use different reference prices.
