Copying can multiply correlated exposure while each account still has its own starting position, limits and execution result. Review every destination independently. Matching account size or a multiplier setting does not prove equal risk or identical fills.

Common failure paths
| Risk | Example |
|---|---|
| Correlated loss | Three accounts each losing an illustrative $500 total $1,500 before further costs |
| Unequal headroom | A follower near its actual floor can breach before the leader |
| Quantity mismatch | A multiplier or rounding result exceeds a follower's limit |
| Different starting exposure | The same action closes one account but reverses another |
| Partial/rejected copies | Account positions diverge despite one source event |
| Duplicate paths | A second copier or direct alert adds unintended orders |
| Policy mismatch | A technically working arrangement violates an account-stage rule |
Review before enabling or changing a relationship
Match full account IDs and existing positions. Establish expected destination quantity, rounding and supported event handling. Check actual risk criteria rather than using advertised account size as headroom. A smaller multiplier is not proof of an acceptable maximum loss.
The native dashboard below shows relevant account fields, with private details concealed. Its blank headroom cells do not supply a numerical allowance; obtain the provider's actual values and calculation rules.
Manage a follower independently only through the supported sequence
DayTraders' copier instructions warn that an independently flattened follower can receive a later copied action and end up reversed. Disable the affected copying relationship as documented before independent management, and reconcile positions and working orders afterwards. Disabling copying is not itself flattening.
Treat limits as independent
Check the applicable firm rules, technical entitlement and tool compatibility separately. A test in an eligible simulation helps establish behavior but cannot guarantee live fill quality or future availability.

Common questions
Do several copied accounts diversify the trade?
Repeating the same exposure does not diversify that market risk.
Can one follower reject while others fill?
Yes; reconcile each actual result rather than inferring a shared outcome.
Does disabling copying close the follower?
Do not assume that. Check orders and positions independently.
Can a small micro test guarantee future behavior?
No. It covers only its tested configuration and conditions.
