Options-Trading automatisieren
mit TradingView

Turn TradingView alerts into live options orders on Interactive Brokers and Tradier (beta), including calls and puts. Multi-leg strategies such as iron condors are not documented as supported.

Automated options trading with PickMyTrade turns a TradingView alert into a live options order at your broker. When your indicator or strategy fires, PickMyTrade reads the alert, applies the rules you set, and places the matching options trade for you. You keep full control of the logic; PickMyTrade handles the execution. PickMyTrade automates options through Interactive Brokers and Tradier (beta), covering buying or selling calls and puts. Multi-leg strategies such as verticals, butterflies, and iron condors are not documented as supported. Options alerts at Interactive Brokers are sent as market orders, with stop-loss, take-profit, and position sizing (fixed contracts or risk percentage) set when you generate the alert, so options trading automation follows the risk rules you choose. This is honest options trading automation for retail brokerage accounts, not a signal-selling service and not a promise of profits.

How to automate an options strategy from TradingView

The flow is the same whether you trade one contract or a four-leg spread: an alert leaves TradingView, PickMyTrade receives it, and the order lands at your broker. Here is the full alert-to-execution path.

  1. Connect your options broker. Create a PickMyTrade account and connect your Interactive Brokers or Tradier account. This is where your options orders will be placed, so use a paper or simulated account first while you test.
  2. Set your rules in PickMyTrade. Choose how each alert should behave: the option type, how strikes and expiries are chosen, position size (a fixed number of contracts or a risk-percentage of the account), and any stop-loss or take-profit. PickMyTrade can select strikes based on real-time prices and the rules you define, so you are not hard-coding a single strike into every alert.
  3. Generate the webhook and paste it into TradingView. PickMyTrade gives you an alert message and a webhook URL. In TradingView, create an alert on your strategy or indicator, delete the default message, paste the PickMyTrade message, and set the webhook URL in the alert's notifications tab. Webhook alerts need a paid TradingView plan (Essential, Plus, Premium or Ultimate), since free TradingView accounts cannot send webhooks. There is nothing to code.
  4. Test, then go live. Fire a test alert, confirm the order in your PickMyTrade log and in your broker, then enable the alert. From that point your strategy runs on its own. On speed: PickMyTrade places your order as soon as the alert arrives. Total fill time also depends on your broker's execution, network latency, and how quickly TradingView sends the alert.

Multi-leg and iron condor automation

Multi-leg strategies such as iron condors, butterflies, and verticals place several option legs at once. PickMyTrade's setup guides cover calls and puts at Interactive Brokers and Tradier (beta), and multi-leg spreads are not documented as supported. Use PickMyTrade for single option entries and exits, and place spreads at your broker. Our guide to automating options on Interactive Brokers covers the supported setup.

Options brokers and order types at a glance

PickMyTrade is the execution layer between a TradingView alert and your options broker. It is not a strategy builder or a signal service: your TradingView indicator or strategy is the logic, and PickMyTrade places the order.

Supported options brokers and account types

The full broker list and account types are below.

These are the brokers PickMyTrade routes options orders to: Interactive Brokers, Tradier (beta) and TradeStation. Options automation through PickMyTrade is available on two brokers, with a third for standard options orders. Being clear about scope matters more than a long logo wall.

  • Interactive Brokers: equity options and futures options, calls and puts. Multi-leg spreads are not documented as supported. TradingView to Interactive Brokers automation
  • Tradier (beta): stocks, ETFs and options (calls and puts). Multi-leg option spreads are not documented as supported. TradingView to Tradier automation
  • TradeStation: also supports options orders through PickMyTrade, alongside stocks and futures.

Honest scope: options are not available on every broker PickMyTrade connects to. Futures-only and forex brokers such as Tradovate, Rithmic, and TradeLocker do not route options. If your goal is automated options trading, connect Interactive Brokers or Tradier. You can automate options on live or paper/simulated brokerage accounts, and we recommend starting in simulation before you commit real capital.

Options entries and exits from TradingView alerts

Each TradingView alert becomes a live options order at your broker. You set the option type (call or put), how the strike and expiry are chosen, the position size (a fixed number of contracts or a risk percentage of the account), and the stop-loss and take-profit that go with the entry (one stop-loss and one take-profit per order, or leave exits to your TradingView alerts). Options entries at Interactive Brokers are sent as market orders. The same settings apply to every alert, so exit logic is set once and not re-typed per trade.

Risk and order controls for options automation

An automated options trading bot is only as safe as the controls around it, so PickMyTrade puts risk settings on every alert rather than leaving them to chance.

  • Position sizing. Trade a fixed number of contracts per alert, or size the position so the maximum loss is a set percentage of the account. That keeps a single trade from oversizing the account.
  • Stop-loss and take-profit. Attach exits to the order so the strategy manages itself instead of relying on you to watch the screen.
  • Strike and expiry rules. Define how strikes and expiries are chosen so the same logic applies whether the alert fires today or next week.
  • You stay in control. PickMyTrade does not provide trading signals or investment advice. It executes your rules. Automated systems act on predefined logic and may not adapt to sudden market moves, and options trading carries real risk, including losing 100% of the premium paid. Test in paper trading first.

Pricing: one flat plan, unlimited trades

PickMyTrade is a flat $50/month, or $500/year, with a 7-day free trial and no credit card required. One plan covers your options automation with no per-contract fee and no per-strategy add-on.

That flat model is the difference from asset-metered or per-broker tools that charge more as you add markets or scale up volume. With PickMyTrade the price does not change whether you send one options order a week or run several options strategies a day. You can start on the free trial, connect Interactive Brokers or Tradier, and test automate options trading end to end before you pay anything. See full plan details on our pricing page.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Can I automate options trades from TradingView?

Yes. PickMyTrade turns a TradingView alert into a live options order at your broker. When your indicator or strategy fires, PickMyTrade reads the alert, applies your rules for strikes, expiries, size, and risk, and places the options trade automatically. You need a paid TradingView plan (Essential, Plus, Premium or Ultimate) to send webhook alerts, and no coding is required.

Which brokers does PickMyTrade support for options?

PickMyTrade automates options through Interactive Brokers, Tradier (beta) and TradeStation. Tradovate and Rithmic are documented for futures and TradeLocker for forex and CFDs, so they have no options setup.

Can I automate multi-leg strategies like iron condors or SPX spreads?

Our setup guides cover calls and puts through Interactive Brokers and Tradier (beta). Multi-leg spreads such as iron condors, butterflies, and verticals are not documented as supported, so place those at your broker. SPX and other index options are not covered in our setup guides.

What is the cheapest options trading automation tool, and how much does PickMyTrade cost?

PickMyTrade is $50/month or $500/year, with a 7-day free trial and no credit card required. One plan covers your options automation with no per-contract fee from PickMyTrade. Other costs are separate: your broker's commissions and a paid TradingView plan (Essential, Plus, Premium or Ultimate) for webhook alerts.

Do I need to code anything to automate an options strategy?

No. Setup is a no-code webhook flow. You connect your broker, set your rules in PickMyTrade, then paste a generated alert message and webhook URL into a TradingView alert. There is nothing to program, and you can test the whole flow in a paper or simulated account first.

Can I paper trade options automation before going live?

Yes. You can automate options on live or paper/simulated brokerage accounts, and we recommend starting in simulation before you commit real capital. Connect a paper account at your broker, fire a test alert, and confirm the order in your PickMyTrade log and at the broker.
