Automazione Options

Automatizza il trading di Options
con TradingView

Turn TradingView alerts into live options orders on Interactive Brokers and Tradier, including single-leg calls and puts and multi-leg strategies like iron condors and verticals.

Automated options trading with PickMyTrade turns a TradingView alert into a live options order at your broker. When your indicator or strategy fires, PickMyTrade reads the alert, applies the rules you set, and places the matching options trade for you. You keep full control of the logic; PickMyTrade handles the execution. PickMyTrade automates options through Interactive Brokers and Tradier, covering both single-leg trades (buying or selling calls and puts) and multi-leg strategies such as verticals, butterflies, and iron condors. Supported order handling includes market and limit entries with stop-loss, take-profit, and position sizing, so options trading automation follows the same risk rules on every trade. This is honest options trading automation for retail brokerage accounts, not a signal-selling service and not a promise of profits.

How to automate an options strategy from TradingView

The flow is the same whether you trade one contract or a four-leg spread: an alert leaves TradingView, PickMyTrade receives it, and the order lands at your broker. Here is the full alert-to-execution path.

  1. Connect your options broker. Create a PickMyTrade account and connect your Interactive Brokers or Tradier account. This is where your options orders will be placed, so use a paper or simulated account first while you test.
  2. Set your rules in PickMyTrade. Choose how each alert should behave: the option type, how strikes and expiries are chosen, position size (a fixed number of contracts or a risk-percentage of the account), and any stop-loss or take-profit. PickMyTrade can select strikes based on real-time prices and the rules you define, so you are not hard-coding a single strike into every alert.
  3. Generate the webhook and paste it into TradingView. PickMyTrade gives you an alert message and a webhook URL. In TradingView, create an alert on your strategy or indicator, delete the default message, paste the PickMyTrade message, and set the webhook URL in the alert's notifications tab. Webhook alerts need a paid TradingView plan (Pro, Pro+, or Premium), since free TradingView accounts cannot send webhooks. There is nothing to code.
  4. Test, then go live. Fire a test alert, confirm the order in your PickMyTrade log and in your broker, then enable the alert. From that point your strategy runs on its own. On speed: PickMyTrade processes your order in under 200ms on our side. Total fill time also depends on your broker's execution, network latency, and how quickly TradingView sends the alert.

Multi-leg and iron condor automation

Multi-leg options automation is where a rules-based tool earns its keep. Placing a four-leg iron condor by hand means legging into a short call spread and a short put spread while prices move against you. An automated iron condor system sends all of that from one TradingView alert, so the legs go out together instead of one click at a time.

With PickMyTrade you can automate the strategies most range-bound and premium-selling traders use: verticals, butterflies, and full iron condors. Because you define the legs, strikes, and widths in your rules, an automated iron condor on SPX or another underlying follows the exact structure you designed, every time the alert fires. This is genuine multi-leg options automation, not a black box: you decide the strategy and PickMyTrade executes it.

For a step-by-step walkthrough of building an automated iron condor, including how the four legs map to your alert, read our full guide: Automate Iron Condor: multi-leg options automation guide. If you trade options on Interactive Brokers specifically, our guide to automating options trading on Interactive Brokers covers the IB setup in detail.

Supported options brokers and account types

Options automation through PickMyTrade is available on two brokers, with a third for standard options orders. Being clear about scope matters more than a long logo wall.

  • Interactive Brokers: equity options and futures options, single-leg and multi-leg strategies, including iron condors and vertical spreads. Best fit for traders who want the widest options coverage. TradingView to Interactive Brokers automation
  • Tradier: stock and options automation, including options spreads such as iron condors, butterflies, and verticals. TradingView to Tradier automation
  • TradeStation: also supports options orders through PickMyTrade, alongside stocks and futures.

Honest scope: options are not available on every broker PickMyTrade connects to. Futures-only and crypto brokers such as Tradovate, Rithmic, Binance, and TradeLocker do not route options. If your goal is automated options trading, connect Interactive Brokers or Tradier. You can automate options on live or paper/simulated brokerage accounts, and we recommend starting in simulation before you commit real capital.

Risk and order controls for options automation

An automated options trading bot is only as safe as the controls around it, so PickMyTrade puts risk settings on every alert rather than leaving them to chance.

  • Position sizing. Trade a fixed number of contracts per alert, or size the position so the maximum loss is a set percentage of the account. That keeps a single trade from oversizing the account.
  • Stop-loss and take-profit. Attach exits to the order so the strategy manages itself instead of relying on you to watch the screen.
  • Strike and expiry rules. Define how strikes and expiries are chosen so the same logic applies whether the alert fires today or next week.
  • You stay in control. PickMyTrade does not provide trading signals or investment advice. It executes your rules. Automated systems act on predefined logic and may not adapt to sudden market moves, and options trading carries real risk, including losing 100% of the premium paid. Test in paper trading first.

Pricing: one flat plan, unlimited trades

PickMyTrade is a flat $50/month, or $500/year, with a 5-day free trial and no credit card required. One plan covers your options automation with no per-contract fee and no per-strategy add-on.

That flat model is the difference from asset-metered or per-broker tools that charge more as you add markets or scale up volume. With PickMyTrade the price does not change whether you send one iron condor a week or run several options strategies a day. You can start on the free trial, connect Interactive Brokers or Tradier, and test automate options trading end to end before you pay anything. See full plan details on our pricing page.

Domande frequenti

Can I automate options trades from TradingView?

Yes. PickMyTrade turns a TradingView alert into a live options order at your broker. When your indicator or strategy fires, PickMyTrade reads the alert, applies your rules for strikes, expiries, size, and risk, and places the options trade automatically. You need a paid TradingView plan (Pro, Pro+, or Premium) to send webhook alerts, and no coding is required.

Which brokers does PickMyTrade support for options?

PickMyTrade automates options through Interactive Brokers and Tradier, and TradeStation also supports options orders. Interactive Brokers and Tradier are the primary choices for multi-leg strategies such as iron condors and vertical spreads. Options are not available on futures-only or crypto brokers such as Tradovate, Rithmic, Binance, or TradeLocker.

Can I automate multi-leg strategies like iron condors or SPX spreads?

Yes. PickMyTrade supports multi-leg options automation, including iron condors, butterflies, and vertical spreads, through Interactive Brokers and Tradier. You define the legs, strikes, and widths in your rules, so an automated iron condor on SPX or another underlying follows the exact structure you designed each time the alert fires. See our iron condor automation guide for a full walkthrough.

How much does automated options trading cost with PickMyTrade?

PickMyTrade is a flat $50 per month, or $500 per year, with a 5-day free trial and no credit card required. One plan covers your options automation with no per-contract fee, which is different from asset-metered tools that charge more as you scale up.

Do I need to code anything to automate an options strategy?

No. Setup is a no-code webhook flow. You connect your broker, set your rules in PickMyTrade, then paste a generated alert message and webhook URL into a TradingView alert. There is nothing to program, and you can test the whole flow in a paper or simulated account first.
